"Hell's Gate Trestle" is an early 20th century railroad trestle bridge that spans the North Fork Double Mountain Fork Brazos River draw. The structure stands 40 feet in height and spans a distance of 255 feet. The trestle is constructed of treated timbers. The rails have been removed. While the site is open to the public, both ends of the trestle are fenced-off with chain link fencing capped with razor wire.

The Crosbyton-Southplains Railroad trestle over the North Fork Double Mountain Fork Brazos River, known locally as "Hell's Gate Trestle", is located in Dunbar Historical Lake Park in Lubbock, Texas. Built in 1910, this trestle bridge carried passenger and freight cars of the Crosbyton-Southplains Railroad and the Southplains and Santa Fe Railway under parent company Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway[1]. The overall line ran bewteen Lubbock, and Crosbyton, Texas and was active between 1911 and 1948. From 1948 to 1990, the trestle was not used, as the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway disposed of the line. In January 1990, the line was sold to the Crosbyton Railroad. Operations ceased later that year due to lack of business.[2]
