Hellʼs Itch

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

Hell's Itch, also known as Suicide Itch, is a rare dermatologic condition caused by the exposure of sunlight to skin.[1] The pain is described as an intense itch, or like needles stabbing deeply into the epidermis.[2] Onset often occurs 48 hours after initial sun exposure, unlike a typical burn. Little scientific research has yet taken place on the subject, as it is often confused for sunburn.[1] A combination of factors contributes to neurogenic inflammation, with vitamin D deficiency possibly being an exacerbating factor.[3]
