Career
Meskonis is a self-taught internet entrepreneur and created his first website in 1999 while studying Korean language in Sun Moon University, South Korea.
Meskonis began his career in the domain name industry in the early 2000s, buying and selling domain names as a hobby. In 2023, he acquired AcornDomains.co.uk, the largest domain name investing forum in the UK, and shortly after also acquired the oldest and one of the most popular and respected domain name forums on the internet, DNForum.com.
In 2022, Meskonis founded the London Domain Summit, an annual conference that brings together domain investors, brokers, and other industry professionals from around the world. The event is growing into one of the premier events in the domain name industry.
In 2022, Meskonis founded Maria Ecosystem, a network of websites that provides a range of online services to users around the world. The ecosystem is built on the Maria Coin cryptocurrency, which Meskonis is maintaining himself under the guidance of the US-based cryptosecurity company Spectre Security.
Meskonis is well known for the voluntary work done to unite Latvians living in the UK. In 2019 he was one of the three founders of the Latvian Chamber of Commerce for the UK (registered name: Latvian Chamber), and was its Director since the foundation until 2023 when the Latvian Chamber was closed due to a lack of interest in such organisations from the side of the UK Latvian diaspora.
