The Reverend Henry Arthur Woodgate (25 April 1801 – 24 April 1874) was an British Anglican priest, canon and minister who is today known for his sermons and lectures.

He was born 25 April 1801 in Tonbridge, Kent, England, United Kingdom.[citation needed]

He died on 24 April 1874 aged around 72 in Belbroughton, Worcestershire, England, United Kingdom.[citation needed]

His parents were William Francis Woodgate and Anna Allnutt Woodgate.[citation needed]

He got married to Maria Bradford on 31 May 1838 in Marylebone, Middlesex, England.[citation needed][1]

He had two sons, Edward Woodgate and Walter Bradford Woodgate, both of whom had successful careers in different fields.[citation needed]

Career

He served as the rector of Belbroughton Church in Worcestershire.[2]
