Henry Stauffer
Henry Stauffer was born in Ibersheim, Holy Roman Empire, in 1724 and died on November 27, 1777. He immigrated to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on September 9, 1749. He settled in Bedminster, Pennsylvania, on a plot of 23 acres (93,000 m2) purchased from William Allen on June 12, 1762. The purchase is recorded in Bucks County, Pennsylvania.

According to W. W. H. Davis' "The History of Bucks County, Pennsylvania": Henry Stauffer, born in Germany and married to Barbara Hockman, settled in Bedminster on 23 acres (93,000 m2). They had five children: Ulrich, Barbara, Henry, Jacob, and Ralph.
Ulrich Stauffer, born July 16, 1750, married Barbara Swartz and had seven children. He died in Haycock Township on November 2, 1811.
Henry Stauffer’s second son, also named Henry, born July 9, 1754, married Elizabeth Fretz and settled in Springfield.
Jacob Stauffer, born May 13, 1757, and died April 28, 1844, served under George Washington during the Revolution and purchased the Stover Myers Mill property.
Ralph Stover, the youngest son, born January 10, 1760, was a Justice of the Peace and a member of the Assembly. His son, Abraham F. Stover, born May 10, 1786, followed in his footsteps and served in the Assembly.
History of Henry Stauffer Homestead
From "Descendants of Henry Stauffer" by A. J. Fretz: Henry Stauffer emigrated from Prussia to Philadelphia on September 9, 1749. He married Barbara Hockman and settled in Bedminster, where he purchased land from William Allen. The homestead passed to his son Ulrich and later to Henry Stover. Reuben Stover, the last Stover owner, sold the homestead to Joseph Sine in 1860.
History of Ralph Stover State Park
Ralph Stover State Park, named after Ralph Stover, was the site of an 18th-century gristmill. The park's recreational facilities were built during the Great Depression by the Works Progress Administration. Author James A. Michener donated the High Rocks area to the park in 1956.
