From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

HeritageDaily is an online media platform that publishes scientific news and articles, written by academics for public consumption through web and mobile applications.

First launched in the UK in 2011 by co-founders Mark Milligan and archaeologist Diarmaid Walshe[1], Mark Milligan remains the present Managing Editor and business owner.

The platform has a focus on historical science and is listed on the AWOL Index[2], with subject matters covering disciplines such as archaeology, anthropology, palaeoanthropology, palaeontology and geology.

In 2018, HeritageDaily was shortlisted for the UK Blog Awards[3], where it was a finalist in the Business Arts and Culture Award, coming in second place with the highly commended award.

HeritageDaily was featured across various national publications in 2019 due to the creation of a “Roman Street Map”[4] that the team had developed in-house.
