Hermitage Medical Clinic is a private hospital in Lucan, West Dublin in Ireland.[2] It was founded in 2006 with the latest state of the art equipment and it provides both inpatient and outpatient care. The clinic has a 112-bed capacity and over 25 consultant suites.[3]

The 110 million Euro development and construction for the clinic started in February 2005. The clinic opened in 2006.[1] It is one of only 18 private, accreditated hospitals in Ireland. The clinic provides services in the following departments[3]:

In Hermitage Medical Clinic, the advanced CyberKnife Service provides a non-invasive method of treating cancerous as well as non-cancerous tumours. It was the first CyberKnife Service in Ireland.

Hermitage Medical Clinic has teamed up with Sanford World Clinic under the aegis of Sanford Health, one of the largest health systems in the United States for a clinical research. Its aim is to facilitate precision oncology services.[4][5]

There is also a Daffodil Centre which provides information on cancer to anyone.[3] The centre service closed in November 2020 because of the COVID-19 pandemic.[6]

Accreditation[edit]

It is accreditated by the Joint Commission[7] and has a Gold Certification from Plantree International Person-Centered Care.[8]
