Hexworks
Hexworks is a new gaming studio founded in early 2020 by CI Games S.A. It is formed of two studios – one based in Barcelona, the other in Bucharest – and focuses mainly on Fantasy Action-RPG titles. The studio is led by Executive Producer, Saul Gascon, and Creative Director, Cezar Virtosu. Boasting a team of over 30 industry veterans and growing, the studio is currently working on their debut title: Lords of the Fallen 2. The fantasy action-RPG is targeted for next-gen consoles and PC, and marks a shift from the original's power fantasy to an altogether darker theme. In response to community feedback, the sequel will also adopt a more challenging combat system; while initially inspired by the Soulslike pillars that people enjoy, the studio hopes to further innovate on this popular genre. The Hexworks' team of around twenty-five people includes a number of AAA-experienced staff, however, the studio is embracing more of an indie approach to game development, with a fundamental focus on the high-quality craftsmanship of role-playing games.
