Hilary Thomas Beirne (born January 6, 1961) is chairman of New York City's Saint Patrick's Day Foundation, and the chief administrative officer of the New York City St. Patrick's Day Parade.[1]

He is a science educator in Westchester County, New York,[2] a member of the Irish Ad Hoc Committee to Protect the Good Friday Agreement, Washington, D.C.,[3] and serves as a member of the executive committee and advisory board at Votingrights.ie.[4]

Beirne is well known and active in Irish-American affairs[5] and has been recognised multiple times for his contribution to the Irish-American Community.[6][7]

Engagement on behalf of Irish Diaspora[edit]

Beirne attended the Global Irish Civic Forum in 2023 and spoke about the increasing disengagement of 1st and 2nd generation Irish citizens abroad. He commented that these citizens would further lose their connection with Ireland without meaningful political representation at home. This could have major long term consequences for Ireland's relationship with countries such as the United States of America.[8]
