Hilde Larsen (born Hilde Johannessen on August 2, 1965) is a Norwegian author, blogger, podcast host, professional keynote speaker, a certified health and mindset coach, founder / CEO of Inspired by Hilde and the creator of The Optimal Health Blueprint online course.

Hilde travels the world speaking, coaching and teaching people one-on-one. She actively writes about the topics of health, detoxification, barefoot living / grounding, nature and mindset. She has spoken at the annual World Fasting Summit and headlined a talk From Surviving to Thriving in Lima, Peru in October 2017.

She was the feature subject of a documentary by the Norwegian TV Company TV Vest called Raw Food.[1].

Hilde calls herself a 'life enthusiast', a 'tree hugger' and a 'barefoot advocate' whose spirituality plays a large role in her work.

Early life[edit]

Hilde was born and raised in Madla (outside Stavager), the oldest of three sisters. She attended Hafrsfjord Skole and Revheim Skole before finishing her early education at Highschool Hetland Gymnas. She later underwent further studies in Graphic Design at Bergeland Videregående skole, Technical Drawing at Godalen Videregående skole, Interior Design at Bauder College and Journalism at University of Stavanger.

Early career and health issues[edit]

Hilde went on to found the interior design company Kolage before her health deteriorated in 2004. She was subsequently diagnosed with severe Rheumatoid Arthritis and Lyme Disease. Having spent 10 years studying health & well-being, she decided to personally follow a healing protocol from what she had learned, with much success. Her desire to help others who were also suffering led to a significant career change.

Later studies[edit]

Hilde obtained her certification as a Health & Mindset Coach from the Institute of Integrative Nutrition in 2011 and her certification as a Detox Specialist (Level 1 & 2) and Iridologist from the International School of Detoxification run by Dr. Robert Morse, the creator and founder of God's Herbs and Dr. Morse's Herbal Health Club[2] in 2013. She also achieved her Reiki Master certificate from Aseema Uglefot in Stavanger in 2003.

Writing and speaking career[edit]

Hilde is the author of three books From Hell to Inspired, Know the Truth and Get Healthy and No More Bullshit. She regularly appears as a guest on podcasts around the world including Bruce Langford's Mindfulness Mode Podcast[3], Patrick Timpone's One Radio Network[4], and Corey Poirier's Conversations with Passion[5]

In early 2018, Hilde became a featured Contributing Columnist for Wake Up World[6], which has a Facebook audience of over 3.8 million followers. She is also a featured columnist for website BIZCATALYST360°[7]. She writes her own blog Power Up, creates videos for her YouTube channel Hilde Larsen and launched a podcast Inspired by Hilde in March 2018 which is now featured on Soundcloud and iTunes.

Personal life[edit]

Hilde married Helge Larsen on July 30, 1988 and the couple welcomed a daughter Therese on November 16, 1988 and a son Thomas on August 21, 1991. Her and her husband currently live part-time between Tanager, Norway and Naples, Florida.
