"Him Nae!" (Korean: 힘내!, RR: Himnae) is a pop song performed by South Korean girl group Girls' Generation. Sung in Korean, the song was included on their first extended play, Gee which was digitally released on January 5, 2009 under the record label S.M. Entertainment.[1]

Composition[edit]

The song was composed by a team of record producers which includes Kim Jung Bae and Kenzie. Kenzie and Kim Jung Bae previously produced for S.M. Entertainment by composing songs for Girls' Generation, such as "Into the New World", "Oh!", "Merry-Go Round", "Girlfriend", "Oscar" and "Express 999" as well as some other artists signed to the S.M. label.[2] The lyrics begin:

"힘을 내라고 말해줄래 그 눈을 반짝여 날 일으켜줄래"
"Him-eul naelago malhaejullae geu nun-eul banjjag-yeo nal il-eukyeojullae"

Release[edit]

The song was released as the second track on Girls' Generation's first extended play, Gee (2009).[1]

Music video[edit]

The music video for the song was released on March 6, 2009. It was shot entirely on the set of the music video for "Gee".[citation needed]

Promotion[edit]

Girls' Generation performed the song live for the first time on MBC's Show! Music Core on January 10, 2010.[3] The song was promoted alongside the title track, "Gee", in January and February.[citation needed]

The song was also performed on Into The New World: Asia Tour, The First Japan Arena Tour and various other tours.
