Himanshu Jain: Managing director of ReachExt K.K., a Tokyo Headquartered Recruitment Consultancy and EJable.com.[edit]
Himanshu started his career with a small discrete manufacturing company as shop-floor supervisor. However, he always dreamt of doing something of his own. This dream made him take a hurried decision to quit his job in just a few months. He moved to New Delhi, where he started a small production unit, in partnership with his friend and ex-classmate, for making cooling and condenser coils for window Air-conditioners. However, this move did not go well and the business failed miserably.
One lesson was learned that Engineering will not be a line to grow with. For the next career move, he moved to a career in Industrial sales and worked with Stanvac Chemicals, ITW Signode and Demech Fel-Pro, respectively, for 9 years. There was another wave of desire to explore something new. This desire took him to a new career in SAP functional Consulting for the Sales & Distribution module. The first implementation was for John Deere's Indian operation in India and then came a move to Japan for an SAP implementation for Sharp Corporation.
After one SAP implementation and one year in Japan, Himanshu decided to move to Europe. He joined a German SAP consulting company and moved to Wiesloch in Germany and carried out a process improvement project for Bulgari watches in Neuchatel, Switzerland.
His love for Japan made him come back to Japan and then the life continued in Japan since then, for all the next years to come. He headed sales for L&T Infotech for 8 years and then worked as the Country Head for Hexaware Technologies, before starting his own venture, ReachExt K.K. - a recruitment agency focusing on bilingual recruitment needs of the clients, and EJable.com - a premium Job portal for jobs for foreigners in Japan or Japanese speaking jobs worldwide.
Personal Life[edit]
Born in a small city, Ajmer, in the state of Rajasthan, Himanshu did his schooling in the same city. After the schooling, he got selected in the common Pre Engineering Test (PET) and moved to Jodhpur to do his Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering.
Himanshu was born to Mr. Prakash Jain and Mrs. Manmohini Jain, who were publishers and editors of the reputed Hindi literary magazine "Lahar". Himanshu is married to Izumi Jain and has one son "Dhruv H. Jain" and a daughter "Limie Jain"
