Hitendra Pithadiya (born 17 September 1979) is an Indian Politician and National Coordinator of the Scheduled Caste Dept. of the Indian National Congress.
Early life[edit]
Hitendra Pithadiya was born in a Dalit family in Badrakha Village of Dhokla Tehsil of Ahmedabad, Gujarat to Vinodray and Vimlaben. His parents were primary school teacher. He completed his primary education in Saurashtra and later his family shifted to Ahmedabad.
He went to N. R. Institute of Business Administration now better known as GLS University of Gujarat University in 2001, Later completed his Master of Business Administration [1]from G. H. Patel Institute of Business Management of Sardar Patel University in Vallabh Vidyanagar and currently pursuing PhD from Central University of Gujarat.
Social and political career[edit]
Hitendra Pithadiya started his career as youth congress worker. Rahul Gandhi started initiative of election in Indian Youth Congress in 2009 and during his visit of Gujarat in February 2009 Youth Congress organised talent hunt program called professional's meet in Ahmedabad [2] and Pithadiya attended it along with his friends, He asked questions to Rahul Gandhi later Youth Congress leaders convinced him to contest internal election of Youth Congress. Pithadiya contested that election [3] and became the first elected Delegate from Vejalpur Assembly youth congress in 2009 later in 2012 he contested for the post of General Secretary of Gandhinagar Lok Sabha Youth Congress and won it.
Parallelly in 2011 became secretary of pioneer social media team of Gujarat Pradesh Congress Committee, 2012 became General Secretary of SC Dept State General Secretary of Gujarat Pradesh Congress Committee and in 2013 became vice president of Social Media Cell of Gujarat Congress. [4] 2018 he appointed as the national coordinator [5] of Scheduled Caste Dept. of All India Congress Committee and incharge of social media as a chairman of it.
