Hive is a company based in New York that creates project management and collaboration software for teams. It was founded in 2015 by John Furneaux and Eric Typaldos.[1]

Hive was selected for the AngelPad startup incubator program and graduated in the fall of 2015.[2]

The company closed a seed round for $1.4 million led by Tribeca Venture Partners with investors from Google and The Grey Group.[3]

After a private beta with 600 customers, Hive launched to the public in 2016.[4][5]

The company closed another seed round for $4 million lead by Vocap Investment Partners led the round that included Rembrandt Venture Partners and return investors Tribeca Venture Partners.[1]

Hive launched its predictive analytics that give users access to dashboards the provide insights into team productivity.[6][7][8]

Hive is a software-as-a-services that enables teams to manage projects and communication. It aims to improve team organization and productivity.

Its project management features include interactive Gantt charts, Kanban boards, calendar views, action templates, time tracking, request forms, subactions and dependencies.[9] It also has collaboration features including chat groups, direct messaging, file sharing and the ability to add external users.[9] In May 2017, Hive launched its predictive analytics that give users insight into their team's productivity.[6]

Hive has mobile apps in iOS and Android and desktop apps in Windows and Mac.[9]
