Hoag Holmgren (born 1964) is an American Zen teacher in the Harada-Yasutani school of Zen Buddhism, having received full authorization (Dharma transmission) from Danan Henry in 2023.[1]
His books include No Better Place: a New Zen Primer and the poetry collection paleos. Holmgren has published fiction, nonfiction, and poetry in Gettysburg Review, Colorado Review, StoryQuarterly, Denver Quarterly, and other journals.
