Hobbit Tales
Hobbit Tales from the Green Dragon Inn[edit]
Hobbit Tales from the Green Dragon Inn is a card game set in Middle-earth. Designed by Marco Maggi and Francesco Nepitello, known for War of the Ring and Battle of Five Armies, it was published by Cubicle 7 in January 2014. The game uses a 12-sided die, similar to the one in The One Ring Roleplaying Game, and includes rules for integrating the cards into the roleplaying game.
Gameplay[edit]
In Hobbit Tales, players take on the role of Hobbits sharing stories at the Green Dragon Inn in the Shire. The tales include woods, mountains, elves, orcs, and other sinister elements. Players take turns as the Narrator, using illustrated cards to weave a story, while others interrupt with hazard cards featuring dangers and monsters. Players earn Cheers tokens for playing story cards or successfully interrupting with hazard cards. The winner is the player with the most Cheers tokens at the game's end.
Awards[edit]
Hobbit Tales won a Silver ENnie for Best Family Game in 2014.
