History[edit]
Having had the wettest summer in decades, Jack and Fleur noticed that children’s waterproofs could be very dull. They wanted to put fun and excitement into welly wearing weather, so they decided to create a "Color Changing collection" of kids raincoats and umbrellas. The company has created waterproofs that burst with color when water splashes onto the designs, eventually returning to their original color once dry.[2]
The founders first noticed the concept used in babies’ nappies. After two years of research and development they took the concept and applied it with a selection of high quality fabrics and materials.
Holly and Beau sells products in North America, Europe and Asia. The company has a direct-to-consumer website and wholesale distribution. The Junior Magazine UK awarded the company with the Kids Innovation of the year 2014.[3]
