Holy Family School is a Catholic elementary and middle school in the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Philadelphia. It was founded in 1926 with one building and expanded in the 1950s by opening a new second building, connected to the first. It currently operates with St. Ann's Parish, St. Mary's Parish, St. Joseph's Parish, Holy Trinity Parish, and St. Basil's Parish. They have a uniform policy and feature STEAM and Spanish classes and a theater and cooking program.[1] Holy Family also has a parish run CYO program for sports.[2]
Nomination for Blue Ribbon School[edit]
During the 2016- 2017 school year, Holy Family School became a national Blue Ribbon School. The principal and another teacher with seniority received a chance to come to Washington D.C.
Sports[edit]
Holy Family School has a CYO program for sports, competing with nearby Catholic schools in the region. Its sports include basketball, soccer, volleyball, field hockey, golf, and cross country. In addition to having basketball teams, Holy Family also hosts the "Panther Pride" tournament for basketball teams grades 7-8, a playoff to determine the region's champion.[2]
