Honey (stylized as HONEY) is a Pan-African lifestyle channel for curious and connected Africans. The channel features bold and unscripted shows by African producers, presenters and participants. The content ranges from lifestyle, food, cooking, relationships and weddings, along with reality shows from various territories throughout the continent.[1]

History[edit]

Media24 had announced on 16 November 2020 that it will roll out a new lifestyle channel called, Honey on 12 February 2021,[2] but it was postponing to 15 February 2021, due to the productioning in progress.[3]

The channel is made available to DStv Premium, Compact Plus, and Compact Subscribers on DStv channel 173 which replaced TV Mall that ended on 30 April 2020.

According to the channel at launch, it is about "celebrating and exploring African lives and loves".

The content is focused on lifestyle, fashion, food, weddings, dating and reality programming.

Honey is broadcast in all key African regions including Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, Uganda, Namibia, Botswana, Malawi, Zambia, Angola, Mozambique, Tanzania, DRC, Cameroon and South Africa.
