The Honoris Educational Network (HEN) is a distance education institution located in Vacoas-Phoenix, Mauritius. It is a private higher education institution, established in 2022. It offers diploma in management, in web development, data science and marketing. HEN is registered in Mauritius by the Higher Education Commission.[1]

History[edit]

The institution was created in 2002 and located it's campus in the Highlands, near Vacoas-Phoenix, in 2012.[2] It's first name was YK Business School.[3] Indeed, the establishment rebranded from YKBS to Honoris Educational Network in 2020,[4] two years after joining Honoris United Universities.[5] HEN got acquired in 2018 by Actis Capital backed Honoris United Universities[6] becoming one of its member universities alongside educational institutions in countries of Tunisia (IMSET), Morocco (EMSI), Nigeria (Nile University) South Africa, Zimbabwe and Zambia.

Since 2002, over 2,000 people graduated from the various awarding bodies of HEN.[7]

Programme[edit]

Honoris Educational Network offers diplomas from 4 institutions; Mancosa, Regent BS[8] and Red & Yellow.[9][10][11] from South Africa and Le Wagon Coding Bootcamp.[7][12]

In 2021 a Web Development bootcamp was launched with Le Wagon.[13][14][15]

In 2022, Honoris Educational Network received the accreditation for 5 new programmes[16], in addition to the 19 already existing .

Distinction[edit]

The school was awarded Best Educational Establishment at the Mauritius Business Awards in 2020.[17]
