Honoured People's Policeman of the GDR (German: Verdienter Volkspolizist der DDR) was a honorary title awarded by the GDR to policemen who showed "exemplary performance in raising the public safety and order", as well as "safeguarding GDR". The number of honorary titles awarded was limited at 20 per year.[1]

Honoured People's Policemen could show their honorary title by wearing a medal which was awared with the honorary title[1]. The honorary title was awared till 1990 when GDR collapsed. The federal republic of Germany does not award such an honorary title.
