Hoplite (armoured personnel carrier)
Script error: No such module "AfC submission catcheck". The Hoplite is a modern armoured vehicle designed and made in Greece by the defence firm EODH. The vehicle was announced in August 2020 to meet the demands of the Hellenic Army and Hellenic Police, as a modern, multi-use and modular vehicle.
Many vehicles in the Hellenic Military such as the M113 and Mercedes MB-240GD are ageing and in need of replacement. Also, the defence industry of Greece is undergoing a renaissance. Therefore, the Hoplite can replace old vehicles whilst employing Greek workers. Much of the vehicle will be manufactured in Greece, including electronic subsystems.[1]
