Horse Thief Basin is a populated place situated in Yavapai County, Arizona. It has an estimated elevation of 2,920 feet (890 m) above sea level.[1] Its name is derived from a ranch which used to exist in the area and be used by several notorious horse rustlers as an area to store their stolen merchandise.[2][3]
