Hot/Cold mixing combination
[1] The Hot/Cold Mixing combination is an industrial process for mixing powders, typically for the production of PVC Dry-Blend, but also for other kinds of thermoplastic composites (as Master-Batch, Wood Plastic Composites, Additives, Thermoplastics Polymers).
The mixing system is composed of a Turbomixer and a horizontal cooler.
The first step of the mixing process involves powders, which are put in the heating mixer and blended together up to the necessary temperature. For example, for PVC Dry-Blend production, the average is 130°.
During this phase, the Turbomixer creates an axial vortex thanks to the blade conformation and position. This guarantees the best dispersion of material.
