Hotel Scribe
Hotel Scribe[1][2] is a 150-year old[3] five-star hotel in Paris, France. In 2002, the Pakistan International Airlines Investments Limited (PIAIL) purchased the hotel for USD 18.5 million.[4] Sofitel manages the Sofitel Le Scribe Paris Opéra as it's flagship hotel.[5]
In November 2020, the Tethyan Copper Company approached the British Virgin Islands (BVI) High Court of Justice for enforcement of the USD 6 billion award in the Reko Diq case. On 16 December 2020, through an ex parte order, the court had attached Hotel Scribe with the case. However, in May 2021, the BVI High Court withdrew the orders to freeze the offshore assets of Pakistan International Airlines.[6]
