Houcaller
Houcaller Food and Beverage Management Co., Ltd (豪客来) is a Chinese steak restaurant chain founded in 1993[1]. The original location was opened in Xiamen, on January 8th, 1993. Currently, there are more than 250 Houcaller restaurants in China. In 1995, they opened their second restaurant in Zhengzhou, marking their first venture into the chain restaurant business. In 2001, they opened a restaurant in Chengdu. Their slogan is "吃牛排就到豪客来" ("Want to eat steak? Come to Houcaller!"). They have funded the construction/renovation for seven primary schools in China.[2]
Houcaller has been awarded the title of China Food and Beverage Restaurant and National Green Catering Enterprise by China Cuisine Association and National Green Catering Enterprise Association.
In 2005, SWIFT meats formed a partnership to jointly develop food products for the western market, so that Houcaller's product research and development could expand internationally.
In 2007, Houcaller won the first "China famous trademark" honorary title from the China's steak and Fujian Catering Industry.
In 2008, the chain sponsored their first primary school, named Hope Primary School in Pinghe County, Zhangzhou. All primary schools built by Houcaller are named Hope Primary due to their partnership with the Xiamen Strait Youth Development Foundation (Hope Project Office).
In 2010, Houcaller came to be awarded the honorary title of deputy director of the Western Food Professional Committee of the Chinese Culinary Association.
In 2011, the 200th direct-run restaurant chain, located in Shanghai, officially opened.
In 2013, The 20th anniversary of the founding of Houcaller, and on January 25, the 250th restaurant opened in Beijing.[3]
In 2014, Houcaller constructed two schools in Kangding and Guyi County in Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture for 1.6 million RMB[4]
In 2017, Houcaller donated 60,000 RMB to sponsor the renovation of Hope Primary School in Lanping, Nujiang, marking their seventh school renovated.
