Howl from Beyond the Fog (狭霧の國 Sagiri no Kuni, lit. Land of Fog) is a 2019 independently made Japanese short kaiju film directed and written by Daisuke Sato and produced by LosGatos Works. The film is heavily influenced by "The Fog Horn" by Ray Bradbury[1] and premiered at the Atami Kaiju Film Festival on November 24, 2019[2] and was released in Japan on October 31, 2020.[3]
Plot[edit]
A blind girl named Takiri fights against greedy developers who threaten to take over her family's land during the Meiji era, with help from the blind monster called Nebula from the nearby lake.

Production[edit]
The Nebula suit was created by Keizō Murase known for creating the Mothra, Daimajin, Gyaos, Yonggary, Greenman and Titanosaurus suits.[4][5]
Home media[edit]
SRS Cinema released the film on a Limited Edition Blu-ray on December 8th, 2020 with a wide DVD release on July 6th 2021.[6]
