The Hsu Family Distinguished Award in Creativity was established by Dr. Hsiao-Ping Hsu Moore, former Dean of the College of Arts & Sciences, and her siblings (Dr. Shi-Ping Hsu, Dr. Chi-Ping Hsu, and Ms. Yei-Ping Hsu Wang). The purpose of the award is to acknowledge one or more outstanding faculty, staff, student or alumnus/alumna annually who has distinguished him/herself by creatively solving a problem, developing a product, or thinking out of the box to advance the College of Arts & Sciences’ educational mission. The Award provides the opportunity to publicly recognize annually one or more individuals who have exercised exceptional creativity to advance humankind. Contributed funds have been used to create an endowed award that will remain in perpetuity to honor their parents, Tsou-Whai and Chu-Hwa Hsu, and the Hsu family name.
