The Hubei University Of Economics (湖北经济学院) is a provincial public undergraduate college in Wuhan, Hubei, China. It is affiliated with the Province of Hubei and sponsored by the Hubei Provincial People's Government.[3]
The school was established on Sept, 2002, through the merger of Hubei Business College, Wuhan Financial College, and Hubei Institute of Planning Personnel Management.[4]

Until now, HBUE has recruited over 16000 full-time undergraduates, 1,012 postgraduate. It institutes a group of key subjects at the provincial and state level, and master programs,[5] and the university's engineering discipline is ranked in the top 1% of the ESI global rankings.[6] In 2023, The university's Digital Finance Innovation Laboratory was recognized as a key laboratory in Hubei Province.[7] Over the past three years, students from HBUE have won more than 100 awards at provincial and ministerial levels in the competitions such as National Student Electronic Design Competition, National Network Technology Competition,The Blue Bridge Cup competition, and National Financial Science and Technology Competition, including more than 50 first prizes at the national level.[8]
