Hugo Kennis (April 17, 1986, Eindhoven) is a Dutch chef and actor.[1]
Biography[edit]
Hugo Kennis was trained as a chef and catering manager in Eindhoven and Tilburg. He also attended the Musical- and Theateracademy at Fontys School of Fine and Performing Arts.
On the culinary channel 24Kitchen he presents the cooking show Smaakpupillen (Tastebuds). He is also a chef in the show 24Kitchen Food Truck Challenge, Grenzeloos Koken (Boundless cooking) and,De Makkelijke Maaltijd (The easy meal). Together with the brothers Jasper and Marius Gottlieb he formed a cooking trio named De Worsten van Babel (The Sausages from Babel). He was an understudy in the theaterproduction Je Anne (Your Anne) by Mark Vijn Theaterproducties. IN 2011, he played a role in the theatershow by SpangaS, SpangaS Live!. For a short while in 2017, Kennis was on-air in the show Goede tijden, slechte tijden (Good times, Bad times) as Italian Cook, Antonio.
In 2019, Kennis was one of the participants in the 20th season of the RTL 4-program Expedition Robinson. He reached the finals and eventually ended up in first place.[2] In 2018, he became the regular cook in the RTL 4 afternoon show 5 Uur Live. Afterwards, he also became the regular chef in the daily RTL-Program Eigen Huis & tuin: Lekker Leven.
