Human Brains Foundation

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

The Human Brains Foundation is a charity set up in Switzerland in 2013. It works from the premise that knowledge of the brain is very advanced, very well researched but also very inaccessible to the average person. Its goals are therefore to help create simplified but scientifically solid models of the brain and communicate these to a broad lay audience. The second premise is that the knowledge we have of the brain will enable us to improve outcomes in many contexts in which human beings operate and hence the second goal of the Human Brains Foundation is to manage projects dealing with everyday situations using a multi-disciplinary approach but founded in brain science. Examples are; speech fluency in brain-damaged patient (with impacts on fluency, language learning and stuttering), chronic pain issues, behavioural change in medical community, education and economics.

Current president is Andy Habermacher and Vice President is Dr Hans Wüest.
