Hung Van Lam 5'1 is A CHINESE: Chowchanese was born 1980 in Ho Chi Minh / Saigon, Vietnam near the Big Market. He is a refugee and arrived in San Francisco in 1982. He spent his childhood in the Tenderloin of San Francisco on Levenworth Street. He attended Cros Cultural Center for presschool. He attended Treasure Island for elementary school in the 1980s. His family moved to the Sunset where he transfered to Francis Scott Key to Finish Elementary school. He then attended A.P.Gianini for Middle School. He met his Bestie: Jose Leo De Guzman in 6th grade. It was also in 6th grade that Hung and his best friend Jose enrolled in "The Karate Club" on Taravel in the lower avenues. He was taught "Hapkido" the Korean Super Super Martial Arts which had a combination of styles: American Boxing, Judo, Jujitsu, Karate, and Tae Kwon DO.

In High school, Hung joined the Wrestling Team from Freshmen year to Sophmore year. He was on the JV football Team Sophmoree year as a Full Back and Linebacker along with Special Teams. He made the Varsity Footaball Team Jr. and Senior Year. Hung also joined the Track team where he competed in hurdles and 2 miles. He also joined the Fencing Team his Senior Year.

Hung attended City College of San Francisco. It was there that Hung got his comic strips published in the "CCSF GUARDSMAN CAMPUS PAPER." He later became the Cartoonist page editor and also became an Editorial Cartoonist. in Spring 2003 Hung appeared on the "City College of San Francisco Etc. Magazine" Cover. His story was the featured article.

The following semester, Hung Founded a break dancing club on campus called "FreddyHung B-BOY SESSIONS" The club was later changed to "CCSF Breakin Fridays." It was at this campus club that Hung Van Lam was granted the B-Boy alias "hELLA HUNG!' "hella hung' came out during the rise of YouTube. Search "hELLA HUNG" and you will see his Breakin Career and evolution online as a performer to soulful dancer eventually an "Ambassador of the ARTS". Hung developed this along with many other personas and characters such as "Hung BE" and "EL Dynasty"

Hung is also a dancer for the 80's Freestyle Music Artist SHANNON of "Let The Music Play." Hung got onto "Americas Got Talent" in 2007. Hung was a Feature Contestant on "Last Comic Standing" in 2008 Hung released a self made solo dvd movie called "Hung DYNASTY the Movie / Return of Animal Chin" in 2008. After his beloved Childhood icon "Michael Jackson" untimely death. Hung was not happy with his life and decided it was time for a change. In 2009 Hung decided to take a spiritual bicycle trip to Los Angeles from San Francisco in the middle of the night. In 2010 Hung was featured on "So You Think You Can DANCE" Season 7 for LA auditions as "hELLA HUNG." Hung's Big Break came in 2019 when he appeared in a Sci-Fi ACTION Series on Amazon Prime called "Cyborgs UNIVERSE" as Capo in Episode 6. Recently Hung's next big hit premiered on a Netflix Original Series 2020 called: "100 Humans" A . Hung is "Secret Dancer F" in Episode 1. He's also Human 354 band is spotted in all 8 episodes of the first season.
