Hungarian Conservative is also an active website with distinct content. The website offers opinions and analyses of Hungarian and international issues and reports and comments on daily news stories.
Background
Hungarian Conservative is a bimonthly journal published by BL Nonprofit Ltd. in cooperation with the Danube Institute in 2021. According to the journal’s founders, societies are facing the undermining of our social and religious values and traditions, the weakening of the family, and the decline of the middle class. The journal thus aims to support the voices of rational, common-sense conservatism. Hungarian Conservative’s self-professed mission is to build on the political success and intellectual renaissance of Hungarian conservatism of the past decade to share thoughts and experiences of the current social issues with like-minded readers and intellectual adversaries alike.[2]
The journal self-identifies as a forum for rational debate on the future, providing a platform not only for Hungarian thinkers but international contributors as well who address the outstanding issues of conservative thought in the realms of politics, society, religion, and culture, both past and present. The journal’s goal is to draw attention to the fact that conservatism has relevant answers to the most pressing questions of our time, from the direct and indirect effects of globalism to environmental issues, to contemporary definitions (and redefinitions) of the relations between men and women, the role of families and smaller communities in a globalizing world.[3]
Hungarian Conservative was inspired by the success of The American Conservative and of The European Conservative journals, and is the sister journal of the Hungarian Review.

All the views and opinions expressed in Hungarian Conservative are solely those of the authors. They do not necessarily reflect the position of its editors, or individual members of its Editorial Board or Advisory Council.
The print journal follows the recommendations of the Oxford Style Manual while the online version is a style based on the OSM and its House Style.
