Controversies
Hunter Avallone has been amid controversy from both sides of the political spectrum stemming from his political opinions. He frequently has online discussions and attends political protests and events in order to interview those attending, as well as reporting on the event.
Controversies stemmed after he uploaded his now deleted "The Truth About Transgenders" video in March 2016, where he criticized transgenderism. Some media outlets covered the video, accusing Hunter Avallone of "transphobia".[4][5] Some outlets allegedly had called Hunter Avallone's place of work at the time over the video. He also received criticisms from other YouTubers as a result of the video[6] which he later responded to. [7]
Hunter Avallone has attended multiple heated Antifa rallies and protests where he interviewed and debated people at the event from a neutral/opposing stance. [8] [9].
He also has some discussions on his now suspended Twitter page, where he tweeted he believed that being pro gay was "really conservative", and that gay people should have the right to express themselves with no government interference; as well as his support for gay marriage in the US. In one discussion with someone, he responded with a point saying that if his daughter later on turned out to be gay, he would still love and support her.
Account suspensions
Avallone's Twitter account was previously suspended on March 9, 2017 for unspecified reasons.[10]
On April 8, 2019, Hunter Avallone's YouTube account was suspended for "hate speech" after he uploaded his "Liberals Ruin Dating" video. However, Hunter Avallone had never received any prior strikes or warnings about violating any guidelines on hateful speech. Hours later on the same day, YouTube reversed the suspension after being contacted about the issue.[11]
