Dr.Hussain Ali Yasa -داکتر حسین یاسا- ( born on June 7, 1967) is the chairman of the Afghanistan Group of Newspapers the largest group of print media in Afghanistan.[1] He is editor in chief of an English Daily Outlook Afghanistan and Persian newspaper The Daily Afghanistan.

He has been a prominent member of Afghanistan Media, South Asia Free Media Association (SAFMA) and World Association of Newspapers (WAN). He has always strived for the independence of media in Afghanistan society.

Abduction[edit]

Dr. Hussain Yasa, was mysteriously abducted from Dar ul Aman neighborhood in Kabul on Monday 23 July 2012. According to AMRC sources, he has been abducted by National Directorate of Security (NDS) for criticizing government policies.[3]
