Hussein Berry
Hussein A. Berry (born May 1st, 1963) is an American public servant and politician in the city of Dearborn, Michigan. Berry served as a Dearborn Public Schools Board of Education trustee since 2017[1], before resigning in August of 2025 [2]. Berry attended Salina Intermediate School[3][4] in Dearborn's South End. He later received his high school diploma from Fordson High School, and graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Public Affairs from Wayne State University in 2021, at age 58[5]. Berry is currently an Associate Broker at Nova Realty Group, with over 25 years of experience in the real estate industry.[6]

Personal Life
Hussein Berry grew up in the South End of Dearborn near the Ford River Rouge Complex, which he often references as "the smoke stacks"[3][14]. Hussein is the son of Ali "Abu Hussein" Berry, founder of Eastborn Market in Dearborn[3], and is a father of five[15]. His wife and business partner, Nofila Haidar, works alongside him at Nova Realty Group[6] and has also participated in local elections[16].
