Hybernoid [1] were an English rock band between 1991 and 1998. In this time they released singles and an album on Displeased Records [2]. In 1994 the band released their debut album "The Last Day Begins" [3] which was influenced heavily by death metal but also and uniquely by the musical style from bands on the 4AD record label. The 4AD [4] style would later be called shoegaze and the band were at the spearhead of this metal / goth / indie fusion.
The Last Day Begins would become a double CD and form part of the Cult Classic releases on Dave Rotten's label Xtreem Music[5]
In 2023 The Last Day Begins would be released on solid red vinyl on the Haunted Hotel Record Label[6]
