I'm Empire
About
[1] I'm Empire is a singer/songwriter, performing artist and LGBTQI rights campaigner.
Career
In 2016 I'm Empire inspired and spearheaded a UK nationwide museum project with vulnerable teenagers that started in Hackney by using[2] Black British history and campaign material to reflect on the past and present through music. The project was seen as a success by officials, but it was said to lack aspiration as the project's main goal was to upload a "SoundCloud" track. The decision to do this instead of uploading the track to iTunes was seen as un-aspirational by the teenagers that took part in the project. The project included MOBO award winner Kele Le Roc. It was called "Home Project" and funded in part by Discover Young Hackney.
His singles "Step To The Beat" in 2016 & "This Is How We Go (Gritty)" in 2017 have had lacklustre sales with both tracks failing to reach a chart position.
[3]In 2010 I'm Empire was a lead dancer on the Justin Bieber "My World" tour.
