Introduction
i2x GmbH (also known as i2x or i2x.ai) is a software as a service company that specializes in speech analytics and communication coaching for contact centers in sales and customer support/service for enterprises, small and medium-sized businesses. The platform provides continuous coaching for agents in sales and support functions and helps to increase conversion rates, improve customer satisfaction, and reduce agent onboarding time.[1] The company was founded in 2017 and is headquartered in Berlin, Germany. The company currently employs over 40 people in Germany and the United States.
Product
The i2x platform is split into two categories: speech analytics including performance management and communication coaching. i2x automatically records and analyzes every call in real-time, providing feedback and actionable information to the agent. Simultaneously, i2x automatically transcribes German and English languages using its proprietary automatic speech recognition system[2][3][1]. The platform provides real-time coaching to continuously improve individual agent performance including positive and negative keyword management, script A/B testing, and scorecards. For management, the platform provides an aggregate view of team performance or individual performance benchmarks. The i2x platform utilizes a combination of artificial intelligence, big data, and machine learning algorithms to continuously improve transcription accuracy regardless of the speaker's dialect [4][1]. Unlike competitors in this space, i2x allows users to customize their learning by adjusting the positive and negative keyword management fields and A/B script testing.
History
In February 2018, i2x received a €5M Seed Round.[5]
Founder
Angel investor and serial tech entrepreneur, Michael Brehm is one of the biggest names in the German startup scene and is the managing director of i2x. As former CEO at social network startup StudiVZ, he introduced the platform during the early 2000’s prior to the industry giant Facebook entered Germany[6][7]. Among his notable ventures is Rebate Networks, an e-commerce network that spanned over 30 countries with over 10,000 employees -- which has rolled out couponing websites all across the world.
Since 2014, Brehm has been a Partner at Redstone Digital, a first of its kind venture capital firm with the approach of “VC-as-a-service.[8]” In recent years, he has been involved in investing in startups with his own investment company MCB Labs. He supports companies such as Lesara, Bonaverde, Brands4Friends, MoBerries, DailyDeal, and Atheneum Partners either as a member of the advisory board or investor, while also working on launching new ventures[9][10][11][12]
Brehm’s has built and sold several companies to Google and eBay. His decades of experience support his vision of i2x that artificial intelligence should be used “to help people, especially in education and training and in improving the quality of human communication[13] [9].”
