iLounge is an independent provider of information about Apple Inc.’s iPod, iPhone, iPad, digital media players, accessories, news and related software.
Tagline[edit]
The tagline of iLounge began as “All Things iPod” and has evolved to become “All Things iPod, iPhone, iPad, and Beyond."[1]
Site Launch[edit]
The site was launched on November 16, 2001 which was days after Apple announced its iPod device on October 23, 2001. iLounge was previously known as iPodLounge[2] and was later rebranded to iLounge after Apple released the first iPhone and iPad.[3][4][1]
About The Owner[edit]
The current owner of iLounge is an Australian entrepreneur named Haider Ali Khan who bought the website from Dennis Lloyd in 2019.[1] Dennis Lloyd was the original founder of iLounge from 2001.[5][6]

In 2004, BBC News reported about iPod fans reported sound problems with reference to iPodLounge AKA iLounge.[7]
In 2004, Time magazine listed iPodLounge AKA iLounge on its 50 best websites of 2004 list.[8]
In 2005, WIRED reported that iPodLounge AKA iLounge had grown from a niche website to a professional publishing operation with big plans and unique visitors had doubled to 2 million a month and that about 1,000 new members are joining the online forum every month.[9]
In 2008, The Telegraph listed iLounge on its 101 most useful websites list of 2008 as number 3 for hints, tips and troubleshooting for iPod and associated software.[10]
