From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

ITAC, or the International Teaching Artists Collaborative, is an international network or individuals and organisations who promote and teach the arts. ITAC was established in 2012, when their first conference took place in Norway. Since then ITAC has hosted conferences every two years, these have taken place in Brisbane in 2014 and Edinburgh in 2016. The fourth conference, ITAC 4, is due to take place in New York City in 2018, with ITAC 5 happening in South Korea in 2020.

These conferences are designed to: - sharing practice, learning and research in the field of participatory arts; - showcasing best and next practice for the host and visiting nations; - generating new connections and building a palpable energy towards an international community.

As of 2018 ITAC is in the process of becoming a year-round organisation, working to promote, connect and develop teaching artistry across the world.

ITAC's overall proposed outcomes include:

- Better international connectivity - Greater understanding of practice in different countries - Increased opportunity for international collaboration - Greater understanding of the value of the practice across sectors
