I Hate Fridays
I Hate Fridays is a children's novel written by Australian author Rachel Flynn and illustrated by Craig Smith. First published in 1990, it is the first book in the I Hate Fridays collection.
The story revolves around several children, both male and female, in the same class at Koala Hills Primary School. The structure of the book is unusual in that it is written from the point of view of all the main characters in the book. The story is split into different sub-stories, each of which is written by the particular character who is involved in it. The title comes from a character's testament that he hates Fridays because of the spelling tests that are always held.
