Ian Dennis (designer)

Ian Dennis was born in Barnsley in 1950. After attending Agnes Road School and Barnsley Grammar School he won a place at Reading University to study graphic communication.

He graduated in 1973 and worked in London for two years, firstly for Ken Briggs and later FHK Henrion. The National Theatre NT logo is his best-known design from this period. Since 1975 he has run Indent Design.

His wife, Jo, is an artist, illustrator and photographer. His daughter, Johanna, is an illustrator and university teacher.
