Ian Fitchuk
Ian Fitchuk (born February 13, 1982) is a songwriter, music producer, composer and multi-instrumentalist. [1]
Early Life
Ian was born and raised in Chicagoby parents who are both accomplished classical musicians and educators [2] He cites Paul Simon’sGraceland as a significant musical influence from an early age. He moved to Nashville in 2000 to study jazz piano at Belmont University. He was quickly recruited to play keys by local band Llama who was on MCA records at the time [3]. After leaving the band, he began producing artists like Amy Grant [4], Mindy Smith, Landon Pigg, Jeremy Lister [5], Griffin House [6] with production partner Justin Loucks.
Career
He has since been an active session musician and producer. He has played drums and keyboards on albums for artists including Shania Twain [7] Sam Hunt's debut album Montevallo [8], [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lucie_Silvas Lucie Silvas [9], Andrew Combs, Sean McConnell and James Bay's debut album Chaos and the Calm[10]
In 2016, he co-wrote and produced “Bummin’ Cigarettes” by Maren Morris on her album Hero. In 2018 along with Nashville singer-songwriter Daniel Tashian, he co-produced Grammy award winner Kacey Musgraves Golden Hour [11]. It was Musgraves third studio album released on March 30, 2018. Tashian, Fitchuk and Musgraves co-wrote 7 of the 13 songs on the album [12] [13]. Tashian is the lead vocalist and primary songwriter for the band Silver Seas. It has received universal acclaim by music critics.
