Ian Charles Long was born in Birmingham in 1965 to Sidney and Doreen. After completing 17 years as a primary school teacher, Long moved into full time work creating Blob Tree products with Pip Wilson.[1] Little else is known about Ian Long's early life and education. However, his passion for art and communication played a significant role in his career.[citation needed]
