Ibiye Camp is a multidisciplinary artist whose work engages with technology, trade, and material within the African Diaspora. Camp tutors at the Royal Academy of Arts in Media Studies and ADS2 at the School of Architecture.[1][2][3]

Early life and education[edit]

Ibiye Camp holds an MA in Architecture from the Royal Academy of Arts and a BA in Fine Art from Central Saint Martins.[1][2][3]

Work[edit]

Camp’s “Rebellious Copies,” has been presented at the Venice Biennale of Architecture 2022, curated by Lesley Lokko. “Rebellious Copies” digitally maps the public spaces of present-day Freetown, Sierra Leone, exploring its relationship with telecommunications data and the futures of neocolonial infrastructure.[4] Her work “Behind Shirley” (2020) received an honorary mention at the Prix Ars Electronica 2022,[5] and has been presented at the 5th Istanbul Design Biennial.[6]
