Ibrahim Sani (born 9 July 1984) is a Malaysian business journalist, TV news presenter, and Podcaster at Malaysia's 24/7 news outlet Astro Awani since 2013.
Ibrahim Sani previously worked as an Investment Banker with CIMB.
Early life and education
Ibrahim Sani was born in Johor Bahru, Malaysia in 1984.
He received a Bachelor of Accounting with a major in Company Law and Islamic Finance from the International Islamic University of Malaysia[3]. After his graduation, Sani started his career with Hong Leong Bank, and later with CIMB, both as an investment banker and a corporate planner.
Career
As a TV Anchor, Sani has interviewed key figures in the corporate world. He hosts key interviews with a wide array of companies.
High-Profile Interviews
In 2015, Sani interviewed embattled 1MDB CEO, Arul Kanda on the local business radio station BFM 89.9[4], in which Arul denies[5] all wrongdoing regarding 1MDB, including the 1MDB's audit tampering case[6]. He claims people 'refuse to listen to 1MDB as the facts are too boring'[7]. This however was proven to be contentious and Arul is facing court charges on this. Arul Kanda's legal battles continues to this day[8][9].

Sani's interviews are normally with Malaysia's large-cap companies. Such as with with PETRONAS"[10], and Principal Financial Group [11], or with Telekom Malaysia's Research & Development unit [12], and with Sime Darby Property[13].

He has even been quoted by tabloid site World Of Buzz regarding the ousted Malaysian PM Najib Razak's twitter activities[34].

Personal life
Ibrahim Sani lives in Kuala Lumpur with his children. He was formerly an accomplished debater and public speaker when he was in university[36]
