Icon Jewels is a luxury jewelry company [1] based in the United States. Icon's operations comprise the procurement and acquisition of jewelry, artifacts, and estate jewelry with historical provenance. [2].
Early History[edit]
Founder Aldo Dinelli, was mentored early in his career by Louis Glick,[3][4] Simon Critchell,[5] Saul Goldberg, and William Goldberg (diamond dealer).[6][7] [8]Dinelli was first trained in the diamond and precious gem industry by Arnaud Bamberger,[9] Executive Chairman of Cartier Worldwide, and Ralph Destino, the Chairman-Emeritus of Cartier, Inc. Aldo Dinelli collaborated with jewelry houses Cartier (jeweler), Graff, and Van Cleef & Arpels.

Icon Jewels - Circa of Texas was founded in 1990 by Aldo Dinelli, who is a member of Fancy Color Research Foundation [10] [11] [12]. Cynthia Pinot joined the company in 2011 as vice president of Icon Jewels.[13]
Notable Artifact Diamonds and Gems[edit]
The Pope Cross and Ring The 75 carats of diamonds cross and ring once belonging to Pope Paul VI that was originally gifted from Pope John XXIII.[14] [15] [16]
The Emerald Cut Imperial Topaz The 57.06 Carats Imperial Topaz was acquired in 2013 by Icon Jewels. The Topaz stone was cut into and emerald cut shape, and has been considered to be one of the top three largest and finest quality emerald cut topaz in the world. The topaz once belonged to Ralph Esmerian of REI and was acquired during the liquidation of Fred Leighton through Merrill Lynch. [18][19]
The Ava Gardner Ring Icon Jewels acquired the ring in 2014. The Ava Gardner ring was a ring originally gifted to Ava Gardner by her third and last husband, singer and actor Frank Sinatra, married from 1951 to 1957. She later said in her autobiography that he was the love of her life. The ring is a 50 carats Santa Maria Flawless Aquamarine with 15 carats of diamonds made by jeweler William Ruser[20][21]. It was rumored that the aquamarine ring was her engagement ring.
The Hearst Diamond Pin An important diamond brooch once belonged to Randold Apperson Hearst, John Randolph Hearst (1909–1958). The Diamond brooch, Circa 1860-1870[22] has over 37 total carat weight of diamonds. The four main diamonds total carat weight 32.64 carats. [23]

Aldo Dinelli, founder of Icon Jewels, was an expert adviser to NFL Saints quarterback, Drew Brees in lawsuit case against a San Diego jeweler that resulted in a $6.1 Million dollar judgment against the retailer in San Diego on four counts of fraud. [24] [25][26][27] [28]
