Identity V

Identity V(Chinese: 第五人格; pinyin: Dìwǔ Réngé) is a mobile phone game launched by NetEase and currently available free of charge for IOS and Android. Identity V features asymmetrical multiplayer gameplay, and it’s a 1v4 survival horror game, which means a player can choose to play as a Hunter, or play as a Survivor with three team members.

Background

The main background is a detector’s investigation in a dilapidated manor. But there is a story before the investigation.

Time line
24 years ago	A young couple bought a sprawling estate which has a bad reputation because of ominous rumors about its owners. The couple was killed on the protagonist’s 12th birthday, who is their child.
13 years ago	Orpheus, a new crime mystery novelist, came to prominence in the literary world. In the same year, the estate was purchased by a young man and restored to life after being built with much money.
10 years ago	A big fire destroyed the estate. Only a handful of survivors laid unconscious on the ground, among them was the novelist Orpheus, who went into a coma for a whole year and woke up oblivious to who he is.
7 years ago	Orpheus started a private detective business.
now	Orpheus was commissioned by a wealthy businessman to investigate the disappearance of his daughter and came to the "notorious estate" to find out the truth.

Five maps were temporarily opened: Arms Factory, Sacred Heart Hospital, the Red Church, Lake View Village, Moonlit River Park.

The stories of the maps

Name of Map	The story
Arms Factory	Minerva military factory, located at the southeast corner, produced the first batch of crude black gunpowder. With the end of the war, the factory's top product, Minerva XII, was replaced by a rear-bore, and the factory was closed. The factory was abandoned after a serious fire. Now strange footfalls appear at night.
Sacred Heart Hospital	Because of many medical accidents, the once famous hospital was gradually abandoned. It locates near the marshes, and lights always come on in the dark night when no one is there.
The Red Church	This nostalgic church was once popular after 1885, but this stopped after a noble girl who ran away with a man missing here. The bride's unspoken vows were said can be found under the church tree after that unfinished wedding.
Lakeside Village	It used to be a bustling fishing village, but now the waves breaking the gravel beach bring only debris from the past. No one knows what happened here.
Moonlit River Park	It used to be a famous amusement park, but in a grand party, a clown went crazy and killed all the people. Only one woman escaped by jumping into the river just as it happened. After the nightmarish extravaganza, it has become a taboo for nearby residents.

The Survivors

Introduction

Playing as a survivor, you will team up with three other players to escape the Hunter’s evil playground. Survivors must find and decode 5 cipher towers located at various locations on the map to open the door and escape. After at least 3 survivors escaping, the survivalist will win.

The Hunters

Introduction

The Hunter plays alone in the game, but is extremely powerful and each has a special skill. A Hunter can only win by tracking down and killing at least three Survivors before they can escape the manor.

Leo Beck	Factory Owner	He was tricked by his friend Freddy Riley into buying a factory in poor condition, after which his wife and Freddy made off with all his possessions and disappeared.
