Idiot is a Pakistani television series directed by Anjum Shahzad, and first broadcast on Green Entertainment. It stars Ahmed Ali Akbar and Mansha Pasha in their second on-screen appearance. The series is about a man who questions the norms of the society leading him to be labelled as 'Idiot' by others. The first episode of the series was aired on 14 July 2023.[1][2]

Plot[edit]

Since his childhood, Gulzar behaves as a misfit person in the society when he raises the questions about the societal norms or acts something differently like his love for the pet dog, for which he is scolded by his family. His grandmother was the only member from his family who supported him in his childhood, otherwise his childhood was traumatic.[3][4]

Cast[edit]

Production[edit]

It marked Akbar's return to television after his portrayal of titular in Parizaad (2021–22),[5] and his second appearance with Pasha as well, the first being Laal Kabootar (2019).[2]
